Grant Funds
JCCF Community Support Fund
Provides grants twice a year for a wide variety of charitable purposes in Jackson County through the Foundation’s annual Community Action Grant Program. Application deadlines are March 15th and September 15th.
Jackson County Arts Fund
Field of interest fund provides annual grant support for arts programs and projects and arts education in Jackson County.
Jackson County Fund for Youth
Field of interest fund provides annual grant support for local youth programs, projects and facilities.
Jackson County Animal Welfare Fund
Provides annual support for animal welfare programs as well as the county animal shelter.
Bob & Helen Lester Community Fund
Provides grants twice a year for a wide variety of charitable purposes in the Ripley area (city limits and a 5 mile surrounding area) the Foundation’s annual Community Action Grant Program.
Vernon & Bobbie Fisher Charitable Fund
Works in partnership with the Community Support Fund to provide annual grants for a wide variety of charitable causes in education; health; human services; recreation; and arts and culture.
Ordinary Funds
Jackson County Program Support Fund
Provides annual support for the Foundation’s community service programs – the Charity Challenge Matching Grant Program; Community Benefit; Arts in Education; and other specialized programs that improve the quality of life in the community.
Sophia’s Collection “In memory of Penny Mossor
This Fund is going to be able to assist many areas of need in Jackson county:
1 – Help young ladies learn about etiquette formal dress .
2 – Sophia’s collection will collect and distribute dresses, shoes, accessories and formal attire to high school girls ages 14-18 who might not have access to such resources.
3 – This fund with the help of the foundation will grow and has a goal to raise funds to provide hair styling, manicures, under garments, hose and dinner in addition to the ensemble assistance.
Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Fund
Works in partnership with JCCF, Inc. to provide grant funding for new or small businesses in Jackson County. Grants may also help build economic stability for Jackson County Commerce.
Jackson County Junior Fair Fund
This fund will support multiple charitable activities
Jackson County Library Book Fund
Makes grants to purchase books of all types for use by the Jackson County community residents.
Jackson General Hospital Foundation Fund
Provides support for Jackson General Hospital and local public health care needs.
JC 4-H Foundation Fund
Provides support for county wide 4-H youth activities and programs.
Patricia Louise Blackshire Hudnall Charitable Fund
Funds the extracurricular and co-curricular needs of the special education students of Sissonville Elementary School.
Jackson County Players, Inc. Support Fund
Supports the annual operational costs of the Jackson County Players community theater projects, programs and productions.
Jackson County Anti-Drug Coalition – Christopher James Rhodes Memorial Fund
Created in memory of 19-year-old Christopher Rhodes who lost his life in a drug-related accident, this fund provides annual support for the charitable programs and projects of the Jackson County Anti-Drug Coalition.
Ripley Rotary Community Support Fund
Supports the organization’s charitable programs such as the Adopt-A-Family Program.
Jackson County Developmental Center Support Fund
Supports the charitable projects and programs of the JCDC and its mission to provide quality support for life training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Special Olympics – Jackson County Support Fund
Supports the charitable activities of the Jackson County Special Olympics local, state, regional and national competitions.
Hutchison Community Fund
This fund will be used and distributed in the discretion of the Board of Directors
Jack Yearego Memorial Fund
Provides annual support for the Ripley High School Cross Country Program.
Mable Barnette Memorial Fund in Support of Seniors & Animals
Provides annual support for the Aqua Fit Program at the Ravenswood Senior Center and the Jackson County Animal Welfare Fund.
Sokolow Charitable Fund
Makes emergency charitable grants to benefit Ripley area residents in need.
Jackson County Pioneer Fund
Funds educational programs and other general charitable projects in Jackson County.
Alvis-Morris Charitable Fund
Provides charitable grants for community organizations.
City National Charitable Fund
Works in partnership with the JC Fund for Youth providing grant support for youth related programs and projects.
Dickirson Community Fund
Provides charitable grants for community programs, projects and facilities in Jackson County.
Blessing-Weirick Charitable Advised Fund
Supports charitable projects and programs in the Jackson County community.
Robyn Hayes Gandee Memorial Fund
Supports St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and charitable youth projects and programs in Jackson County.
Marine Corps League – Detachment 1065 Jackson County Veterans Support Fund
Provides support for area veterans and charitable programs in Jackson County.
Lisa Smolder Reading Fund
Provides support for reading programs in grades K- 3rd in Jackson County Schools to enhance students’ reading levels.
Evans Community Support Fund
Provides grants that support the Evans, WV community. For the purposes of grant eligibility, the Evans, WV area is defined as the Town of Evans and the area accessible and usable by the community of Evans with preference for support for the walking track, picnic shelter & tables, and bridge & memorial garden located at Evans Elementary School as well as the “Welcome To Evans” sign across from Rollins lake.
Parchment Valley Snak Pak Program
Provides support for the Jackson County Snak Pak Program providing after school and weekend food supplies to children in need.
Pins for Pat Neal Memorial Fund
Annual grants for assistance to the wrestling teams in Jackson County schools.
David Bourgeois Memorial Fund
Provides support for Ag projects.
Jackson County Hunting Heroes Fund
Provides therapy and support for Veterans through a hunting program. Other projects include equine therapy, peer support and helping Veterans in need.
Westfall Family Community Support Fund
Provides support for Jackson County charitable causes and community projects.
Child Literacy/Read Aloud of Jackson County
Provides support for the charitable activities of Child Literacy Programs in Jackson County including Read Aloud- WV Jackson County Chapter.
Guardians of the Children Mountain State Fund
Provides funding for general charitable purposes of the GOC in child advocacy.
Operation Jackson County Veterans
Provides peer counseling and other veteran support. Works with other Veterans’ agencies.
Savannah’s Closet Fund
Provides clothing, hygiene items, supplies, literature for children in foster care of Jackson County, WV.
Shop With A Cop
Local law enforcement, EMS, DNR, and other officials take selected children to breakfast, then a police escort to a local business to shop for Christmas. This program coordinates with the local Adopt A Family Program.
Main Street Ripley Fund
Provides support for community activities and projects of Main Street Ripley.
Greene Center Fund
Provides funding for general charitable purposes for the functions and facilities at the Greene Center in Kenna. Fundraising is under the Southern Jackson County Community Foundation Committee.
Fairplain Cemetery Fund
Provides support for the Fairplain Cemetery.
Cedar Lakes Fund
Fund provides and supports the charitable activities of Cedar Lakes Foundation.
Janice Harpold Memorial Fund
Fund provides and supports general community charitable activities through the community.
Jackson County Homebuilders
The Jackson County Homebuilders Association Fund is now a scholarship fund that will provide funding to students who are residents of Jackson County, graduating high school Senior or non-traditional students, who plan to attend Trade or Vocational School to study trades (if no applicants meet this criteria applicants to Engineering, Architectural and 4 year nursing school will be considered). Scholarships awarded based on financial need, work history, special talent, and awards.
Ripley High School Alumni Association
Fund provides charitable activities of the Ripley High Alumni Association.
Nicholas Roush Memorial Fund
This fund provides for charities for children with cancer or illness preference to Ripley Elementary.
ASL Fund for Deaf Services
Provides services for equipment and classes to teach sign language to our community.

Provides Museum Discovery Place for Children.
Jackson County Commission on Aging Investment Fund
Long term endowment fund for Jackson County Commission on aging.
We Care School Safety Fund
Provides school safety projects program and equipment in Jackson County.

This scholarship fund is currently accepting donations in memory of Mike Ruben. Awards scholarships to Ripley High School seniors who have excelled in academics and athletics in memory of Mike Ruben and John Rice.
The Beverly Shatto Memorial Scholarship Fund
Helping a graduating Ripley High School Senior pursuing a secondary degree in Education.
Beulah M. & Everrett O. Shimp Memorial Scholarship Funds
Provides scholarship assistance for college age students from Jackson and Roane Counties.
Rod Hudson Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships to Jackson County high school seniors.

Awards scholarships for graduating seniors from Ravenswood High School who are pursuing a degree in nursing, agriculture or forestry.
Conrad and Edra McCoy Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarship assistance for Jackson County high school graduating seniors who are attending college.
Rod Hudson Memorial Scholarship Fund
Awards scholarship assistance to Jackson County high school graduating seniors who have participated in high school sports.
Ravenswood High School Friends & Alumni Scholarship Fund
Provides annual scholarship assistance for students who are current graduating seniors and/or previous graduates (within ten years of their high school graduation date) of Ravenswood High School.
The Randolph Scholarship Fund in memory of Lola Randolph and in honor of Everett Randolph
Provides annual scholarship assistance to Jackson County graduating seniors who have involved in the county’s 4-H Program.
Jackson County Community Foundation Scholarship Fund
General scholarship fund provides scholarships for graduating seniors from Jackson County High Schools in memory and honor of special people in the Jackson County area.
Marcus McPhail Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships to Jackson County and Calhoun County high school seniors who have participated in high school athletics and community service activities.
H. Althea Shockey Scholarship Fund
Provides annual scholarship assistance for students with emphasis on hard-work and demonstrates strong community service.
Alva Barnette Memorial Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarships to students who are currently residents of WV with preference given to applicants living in Jackson county. To be eligible must attend Ripley High School with accredited college certificate or vocational program with a GPA of at least 3.0.
Trorie Olsewski Memorial Scholarship Fund
Trorie Olszweski Memorial scholarship community fund: Fund provides charitable activities honoring the wishes of Trorie Olsweski Family in her honor.
